THE Royal Exchange Theatre this summer presents the world premiere of The Baby and Fly Pie, based on the award-winning children's novel by Melvin Burgess.
Inspired by the death squads in Central America, the play is a modern and shocking account of a world in the near future where the dispossessed face a daily struggle to survive. A cross between the futuristic Sin City and with elements of Dickens' Oliver Twist, this promises to be a vibrant and dangerous piece of theatre for everyone over 12 their teachers and parents.
The production is in Royal Exchange Studio, Manchester, from Thursday July 14 to July 30. the box office number is 0161 833 9833 or email box.office@royalexchange.co.uk
