ARTIST Michelle Sheree from Bolton won her first private commission with a cutting edge design.
Michelle, a graduate of Bolton Institute, came up with winning idea for a sculpture to mark a the opening of a Lancashire firm's new headquarters.
She was asked to produce the 7ft tall monument for Rossendale based kitchen and bedroom furniture makers J and J Ormerod PLC.
The piece, which represents giant links in a chain, is called "Progression" and has recently been unveiled in the reception area at the firm's new £6million development.
Ms Sheree completed the work over 12 months and previously worked on public arts projects.
She said: "The sculpture itself was inspired by the relationship between the many different chains within the industrial process."
Managing director of the firm Stephen Greenhalgh said: "We are delighted with the finished work. It is a strong feature and is proving to be a real talking points among staff and visitors alike."
