THE Bolton rounders intermediate side continued to pile pressure on Bury with a 123-113 win in the latest Interleague meeting.
It brought the score between the two sides to 3-0, despite a strong challange from the visiting team.
In a thrilling match, Bury led at the interval by one run, only to allow Bolton a comeback in the second innings and take the game by 10 runs.
Gail Nicholson won the Players' Player Trophy after an excellent display of fielding scoring 15 runs.
Other high scorers on the day for Bolton were Kirsty Turner 22 and Zoe Bluer 19.
The top of the table clash between Darcy Lever CC A and Rupert Ladies A finished with Rupert, leaders of Section A, once again becoming the team to beat.
Darcy led the game at half time by 23 runs, with Sarah Gradwell scoring 34. Ther was some excellent fielding by Rupert in the second innings and scores of 18 from Ann Trufas, Gail Nicholson 15 and Joanne Blackshaw 14 allowed Rupert to win the match 164-138.
Kwickdrinx held onto the lead in Section B after a three-run defeat of Parceline Ladies, while Farnworth and District Vets remained close on their heels after an innings defeat of CRS.
Torrential rain on Sunday devestated fixtures in the Dorothy Clarke Second Round.
Only two games were completed with Darcy Lever CC D and Bolton Castle producing convincing innings defeats against Lostock Ladies and Little Lever AFC B.
In the Healey Karwat Trophy, Little Lever CC B made it through to the last 16 by beating Pure Asphalt XI. Jackie Carter (25), Claire Chambers (34), Angela Barlow (19) and Heather Lomax (16), were Little Lever's top scorers.
