PUPILS from Sacred Heart Primary School were not lost for words when they took part in this year's Junior Youth Speaks contest, organised by Westhoughton Rotary Club.
Rebecca Worthington, Sean Smyth and Elizabeth Hay were judged the best all round team in the competition to win the Gordon Eatock Cup.
Three groups competed, one from Sacred Heart and two from Westhoughton Parochial School. The Parochial teams were Natasha Tasker, Hannah Bridge and Amy Morris for the girls and Joseph Horrocks, James Hannington and Lewis Peacock for the boys.
Competition judges Martin Quin and Steve Harrington said: "For pimary school pupils, their performances were amazingly mature and accomplished."
