WHILE most people learn to drive in old bangers, Bolton's boxing sensation Amir Khan will be doing his three-point turns and reverse parking in style.
The 18-year-old from Heaton has just picked up the keys to his new car, a Range Rover Vogue - worth £59,000 - although Amir has yet to pass his theory and driving test.
But now after his father, Shah, put his Olympic silver medallist boxing son on his insurance, Amir can now learn to drive in the silver metallic Range Rover, bought from Statstone Land Rover dealer in Bury.
His car has been customised to incorporate several features including a multimedia system and rear DVD display.
Amir said: "It's not bad is it? I really like the car and I love the colour.
"I think my friends would like it and I can't wait to drive it. I'm taking lessons and I'm determined to pass my theory and driving test."
Amir has spent the past couple of months training hard for his first professional fight - against an opponent yet to be named - since his sensational victory over Cuban Olympic gold medallist Mario Kindelan.
The fight will take place at Bolton Arena on July 16, with a sell-out crowd predicted by boxing promoters.
Amir said: "Training has been going well - there has been a lot of hard work, but I'm feeling confident that I will win my fight and do well."
