MIXED League Division One leaders, Holcombe Brook A, are the dominant force with a maximum 12-point haul from their opening six games.

Their latest win at Leigh Cricket Club was achieved despite some defiant and spirited play from Leigh's strong squad and the final score of 71-23 did not do justice to the quality of play.

Markland Hill A are in second place with 10 points after beating Lostock's A team 66-45.

Bottom and still without a point are Bradshaw A, who lost a closely contested match at Next Generation A. Bradshaw played confident tennis throughout and made a strong attempt but Next Generation eventually won 59-56.

David Lloyd Bolton are relatively new to the Federation League, but have certainly provided a positive input with some quality players over the past three years.

Heading the table in Division Two are their A team that so far this season have not conceded a match.

This week's win over second placed Markland Hill B was a close contest, but the fiery David Lloyd squad pressed hard to secure another victory that now takes them to a maximum of 12 points.

Harwood Christ Church have a fresh impetus this year and continued their successful campaign for promotion to Division Two this week with a fine away win over Longsight Methodist B. Harwood are playing some quality tennis this season, however, with Holcombe Brook B just behind in second, it seems the Division Three title may be hotly contested.

In Division Four, David Lloyd lead the way with the B team on 10 points with only one defeat this year. They convincingly beat Hawkshaw D without dropping a set and conceded only 23 games to leave Hawkshaw at the foot of the table and still looking for their first win of the season.

Holcombe Brook C head Division Five with 12 points and no losses to date and David Lloyd D lead the bottom Division with a maximum 10 points.
