BOLTON'S Primary Care Trust has a new director.
Abida Niaz has been appointed a non-executive director to the board.
She lives in Bolton and works in Wigan as a community race relations officer for Greater Manchester Police.
Mrs Niaz has also been a magistrate and a lay visitor with the Greater Manchester Police Authority.
She said: "I've always enjoyed working with the residents and communities in Bolton, helping to support community cohesion.
"Now I look forward to the challenges of sharing these skills and experience to make a difference with the PCT."
Trust chairman Pam Senior said: "Were delighted to welcome Abida to the PCT.
"She brings a wealth of experience and a fresh voice to our board."
