BOLTON boxing sensation Amir Khan will show that he is a big hitter when he opens the batting for Lancashire for their big sell-out clash against rivals Yorkshire at Old Trafford in the Twenty20 Cup on Friday.
The Olympic Silver Medallist has just returned from a training camp in Cuban where he joined former adversary turned friend Mario Kindelan - the man who beat him in the Olympic Final in Athens but lost in the rematch in May - to help him prepare for his professional debut at the Bolton Arena on Saturday July 16.
Cricket mad Khan, who's cousin is England and Lancashire star fast bowler Sajid Mahmood, said: I'm delighted to attend this match which is set to be an explosive clash and I'm looking forward to getting stuck into some big-hitting before my professional debut. Whoever my opponent is on July 16 he will be hit for six!"
Khan will feature in pre-match publicity before the anticipated 5.40pm start.
