A HORWICH woman who was window shopping with her husband in Manchester city centre was shot after being caught up in an attempted armed robbery on Thursday.
Eyewitnesses said that a man carrying a magazine said something to a couple window shopping at the Boodle and Dunthorne store. It is thought he dropped the magazine and a shot went off.
A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Police said: "Shortly before 12 o'clock police were called to a report of a shooting on King Street in Manchester.
"Officers attended and found a woman with injuries. We cannot confirm what her injuries are at this stage. We are trying to establish what the circumstances are."
