KERMIT the Frog has been returned to his Breightmet home - thanks to a Bolton Evening News appeal.
The six-feet high cuddly toy was stolen from pensioner Bob Hodgkinson's garden where it formed a display of animal figures which is a favourite with local children. But after Mr Hodgkinson appealed to Bolton Evening News readers last week, the frog was returned to the garden of the house on Deepdale Road on Friday night.
Mr Hodgkinson said: "I'm pleased to have him back and that someone had enough of a conscience to return him.
"I was saddened that someone had taken him. But he's back now, we've cleaned him up and all the children are pleased to see him again."
