DANNY Queeley will play for Rossendale United next season along with fellow striker David Eatock after both were released from their contracts by Chorley last week.
Former Magpies midfielder Darren Emmett is also to join ex-Chorley manager Mark Molyneaux at Rossendale.
Emmett will add to the contingent of former Chorley players at the East Lancashire club which includes Lee Wilkinson, Paul Varley and Stuart Tulloch.
Chorley manager Shaun Teale will assemble his first-team squad for training on Wednesday, July 5 while the Reserves were getting together under new second-team boss Mark Physick last night (Tuesday).
Karl Marginson has become the latest former Chorley player to step up into club management.
He will be the manager of the newly formed FC United, formed by disgruntled Manchester United supporters opposed to the Michael Glazer takeover.
Marginson, a midfielder at Chorley in 1996-97, links up with former Chorley striker Phil Power at the helm of FC United, who were recently admitted to the North West Counties Second Division.
Other ex-Magpies who are soccer club managers are Graham Barrow (Bury), Kevin Glendon (Radcliffe Borough), Phil Wilson (Lancaster City), Steve Waywell (Hyde United), Derek Goulding (Burscough), Tony Hesketh (Kendal Town), and John Hughes (Great Harwood).
Chorley supporters have been given a mission with a difference for this weekend - to help the Magpies Trust's annual working party smarten up Victory Park.
Supporters are asked to turn out in force to help the Trust's Operation Tidy Up to get the ground ready for the new season and the visit of Preston North End for the Jack Kirkland Trophy match on July 9.
Trust board member Geoff Haslam, who is overseeing the clean-up, said: "There is plenty to do, from cleaning and painting to general tidying up.
"If any Chorley supporters are willing to spare any time this weekend, whether it be an hour or all day, it would be very much appreciated."
If possible, participants should bring paint brushes, rollers, rags and stiff yard brushes, and a power wash high pressure hose if possible.
The club will provide the paint and any other necessary materials.
work will start at 9am and finish at 4pm on Saturday and Sunday, July 2 and 3.
