TEENAGERS in Lancashire are being issued with on-the-spot fines for anti-social behaviour in their own homes under a pilot scheme which started on Friday.
The move comes as part of a Government crackdown on 10 to 15-year-olds who could now be fined up to £40.
Lancashire is one of seven forces taking part in a year-long pilot using Penalty Notices for Disorder (PNDs) to tackle juvenile anti-social behaviour.
The fixed penalty notice will cover offences such as underage drinking, vandalism and harassment.
A police officer can choose to bring the young offender home to confirm their identity and issue a fixed penalty notice to their parent or guardian reports BBC Lancashire.
