A MAN was attacked and left with a wide gash to the back of his neck after a fight in Bury.
Police were called to Wellington Road near the town centre on Friday night where they found a group of men arguing in the street at 7.50pm.
As officers approached the men, some of whom were armed with baseball bats and others with machetes, they fled along Killon Street and Heywood Street.
A 22-year-old man, from Bury, was left behind suffering a neck wound.
He was taken to Bury's Fairfield Hospital for treatment and later allowed home.
