POLICE in Lancashire are alerting parents to the danger of letting children play near the county's motorways.
Each year, youngsters endanger their lives and the lives of motorists by throwing things from bridges and playing on the motorway itself.
Hotspots include the M65 between Rushton and Colne and the M6 at Halton, Fulwood and Leyland.
There are also problems on the M58 between Bickerstaffe and Skelmersdale and the M61 at Chorley reports BBC Lancashire.
