ZAMBIA striker, Collins "The Hurricane" Mbesuma, is expected to fly in for transfer talks with Wanderers next week.
Sam Allardyce has confirmed his interest in the 21-year-old, who plays for Kaiser Chiefs in South Africa, and is leading the race for his signature.
Chiefs general manager, Bobby Moutang, is resigned to losing his most prolific marksman, who was top scorer in South Africa last season, and has predicted he will be a big hit at the Reebok.
"I know he will do a good job for Bolton, if they sign him, because he will have no trouble coping with the demands of the Premiership," Moutang said. "He will deliver.
"I would have loved to have kept him for another year or two, but we appreciate this is an opportunity for the young man, one he must take with both hands.
"He is the best I have come across in terms of a striker. He is a target man who is very strong, very intelligent and very difficult to mark. He is someone you have to keep an eye on for 90 minutes."
Allardyce, who is expected to open talks with the £1 million-rated Collins early next week, views the young African as a "high risk" signing because he has no way of knowing if he will be able to adjust to the Premiership.
But similar gambles have paid off in the past and he has been suitably impressed by his scoring statistics 35 goals for the Chiefs in all competitions last season.
"Collins Mbesuma is a player who would interest us," the Wanderers boss said. "He is a prolific goalscorer who has had a fantastic season in South Africa.
The sticking point if Wanderers can strike a deal is Mbesuna's qualification for a work permit. This could be a problem because of the player's limited international experience.
