ST CATHERINE’S D are Division Three champions after an 8-1 win against Meadow Hill B.
They are 28 points ahead of Hilton G in second place, who earned maximum points against Ladybridge C, and cannot be caught.
St Catherine’s win featured trebles by Ben Dudley and Stuart McCaig, and a double by Debbie Wilson.
Alan Hibbert trebled for BEN B who won 5-4 at Walkden Meths, as did John Rothwell for Farnworth SC who won at Hilton H by the same score.
The 6-3 win by Hilton F at St Paul’s Peel featured three wins by Brian Young, and David Yates was unbeaten for Irlam who lost 6-3 to St Catherine’s E.
Ramsbottom A moved ever closer to retaining their Premier Division title with a 7-2 win at Little Lever A.
They are now 30 points ahead of second-placed Hilton Tameside who were beaten 6-3 by Ramsbottom B.
Ramsbottom’s Derek Yeong was the star of the night with three victories.
Glen Payne’s three wins helped Wharton to a 7-2 victory over Radcliffe, and Charles Musa and Pavel Orzechowski scored three each for St Catherine’s A in their 6-3 win at Ramsbottom C.
Lindsey Reynolds trebled for Burning Desire who went down 6-3 to Little Lever B Heaton A consolidated their position at the top of Division One with a 7-2 victory over Wingates, a win which included trebles by the Ward brothers.
St Catherine’s B, in second spot, won 8-1 at Heaton B, with three wins by Paul Brandwood and Marc Townsend and two by Kristof Pinter.
Dennis Collier and Clive Taylor both trebled for Nomads A in an 8-1 win at Hilton B, as did Martin Holt and Neil Booth for Ramsbottom D who won at Meadow Bank by the same score.
Ladybridge A’s 7-2 win at Little Lever C included a treble by Dave Bolton.
The clash between the two top teams in Division Two, Nomads B and Grubba Fans, proved a non-event with Nomads running out very comfortable 7-2 winners.
Gareth Palmer scored three, and Dave Holden and Brett Haslam two apiece for Nomads with Marek Maraszkiewicz winning the two for the losers.
Coburg maintained their challenge for second place with a 6-3 win at Little Lever with Bob Bent their unbeaten player.
Three wins by John Dodd and two by Mike Heaton gave BEN A a 5-4 win against Farnworth A. Tim and Matthew Fields both trebled for Hilton E who won 7-2 at Ladybridge, as did Heaton E’s Paul McCormick whose team lost at Hilton C 6-3.
Four players scored two wins in a close match which Heaton D won 5-4 at Meadow Hill A, and Heaton F scored maximum points against a weakened Hilton D team.
Division Four table-toppers Farnworth B consolidated their position with a 7-2 win against Hilton J.
Sam Evans and Nathan Patel both trebled in the victory, as did Craig Duncan, Josh Sandford and Ray Isherwood for second-placed Lads A in their 9-0 victory over the B team.
St Catherine’s F beat Brass 8-1 with three wins by David Naylor and Callum Chambers and two by Graham Hatter.
A Gordon Stone treble and a double by Malcolm Rose gave Hilton I a 5-4 win at Heaton G.
