BYP Ladies boosted their Farnworth League Section A championship aspirations with a victory over fellow title-chasers Elton Vale A.
Elton were all out for 51 runs with three balls remaining in the first innings before BYP had their first batter caught out and then lost another four batters in the first 11 balls.
BYP then steadied the ship and went on to score 72, including three rounders off the last four bowlers. Elton improved in the second innings and scored a rounder off each of the last three bowlers, finishing with 66.
BYP then went in and suffered another early setback when they lost two of their first three batters.
But five rounders from the last eight balls swung the game in their favour and they equalled their first innings score to complete a 144-117 victory.
