SOFA specialist CSL reported record sales as the group bounced back from a difficult 2008.
The family-owned Wigan firm, which trades from 16 stores in the north of England, including Bolton, saw revenues jump 51 per cent to £72.5 million in 2009.
The company was helped by a buoyant Christmas period which saw more than 1,000 suites a day sold at peak.
It grew like-for-like sales 61 per cent for the four weeks to January 3.
Profits were up to £4.8 million from £0.7 million the previous year.
CSL, which began life in 1984 as a single store near Burnley, also plans to open several new stores in the coming year.
Managing director Jason Tyldesley said: “We’re building our business on the back of good value products that are built to last.”
