RUGBY UNION: Bolton’s first and third team’s home games were postponed as a result of the waterlogged pitches.
The second team, however, played at Wigan thirds but were on the wrong end of a 7-3 scoreline with the heavy conditions a deciding factor.
Wigan grabbed the only try of the game while Bolton’s points came from the boot of Danny Barlow who scored a consolation penalty late on.
And there was also disappointed for Bolton fourths who were beaten 31-0 at Chorley.
Once again, it was a torrid afternoon for the Avenue Street men in terrible conditions.
The visitors started the game well with excellent running from Lee Mann and Phil Caswell who attempted to punish the Chorley back line early on. But Chorley defended stoutly and used the ball well in all areas of the park to ease to victory.
