THE first round of the Warburton Cup featured the new points handicapping system which the league will use in cup competitions this season.
The match result will be decided on the total points scored, over nine sets of four games, plus any handicap awarded, and the team scoring the highest number of points wins the match. Although there has been quite a variation in the number of point’s difference at the end of individual matches, the early results are encouraging.
