JOSHUA Ramm makes his return from injury at the British Judo Championships in Sheffield on Sunday.
The Harwood teenager competes in the Under-90kg category in the under-20s age group.
Ramm is ranked one of the top judo prospects in the country, but his chances of winning a medal in Sheffield have been hit by his lack of competitive action over the last six months.
The British Championships will be his first competition since injuring a wrist in March.
The 17-year-old Olympic prospect will be looking for the kind of form he showed in January when he won a silver medal at the trials for the Great Britain under-20 international squad.
Ramm, a former member of Castle Hill Judo Club, is hoping to spend five weeks training at The Kodakan, the spiritual home of judo in Tokyo, next summer if he can get sufficient sponsorship to pay for the trip.
