CROWD favourites from down the years will turn out at the Reebok on Saturday to pay tribute to Jussi Jaaskelainen when he celebrates 12 seasons with Bolton Wanderers.

Organisers of Jaaskelainen’s charity testimonial have signed up a stellar cast to play in the Legends Match that will serve as a curtain-raiser to the main event — the Wanderers-Hibernian friendly. Veterans Frank Worthington, Paul Jones and Neil Whatmore will evoke memories of Burnden Park in the seventies when the Super Whites won promotion back to the top flight after more than a decade in the wilderness; goal machine Andy Walker will grace Bolton turf again alongside his team-mates from the early nineties, David Lee, Tony Kelly and Scott Green, and a host of favourites who starred at Premier League level, including the likes of Simon Coleman, Gugni Bergsson, Gerry Taggart, Alan Thompson, Scott Sellars, Bob Taylor, Michael Johansen, Claus Jensen, Paul Warhurst and, most recent of all — Ivan Campo — will roll back the years to make their own personal salutes to the Finland international.

Others who have enrolled to play include Greg Strong, Nicky Spooner, John Thomas, Simon Farnworth and Paul Lodge while scores of others who are unable to play in the Legends game plan to pay their tributes to Jaaskelainen at a celebration dinner at the Reebok on Saturday night.

Celebrity Wanderers fan, newly-crowned world boxing champion Amir Khan, will also make an appearance.

The Legends kick off at 1.15pm with the Hibs friendly - the last of Wanderers pre-season games - kicking off at 3pm.

Admission to the Legends game is free to anyone paying for admission to the Hibs match, which is £10 for adults, £5 for concessions.

Jaaskelainen, who has become an adopted Boltonian since joining Wanderers in November 1997, is donating the proceeds of his testimonial to three local charities - Birtenshaw, Paws for Kids and the RDA Miller’s Nook Riding School.
