Recent catches at Parkers Lodges of more than 100lbs of bream on the lower lodge are a throwback to the 1970s.
Tench up to 8lbs and bream over 9lbs have all been caught by members in the past seven days. It is also encouraging to report several anglers catching carp up to 5lbs, again on the lower lodge.
The top smaller lodge has been strangely quiet recently in terms of tench and carp, but good catches of roach have been reported. The lower lodge will accommodate up to 60 fishing pegs and is ideal for matches. The top lodge (21 pegs) is always available for members as it is not used for matches. Membership: seniors £28; juniors and concessions £14; gate key £3. For more details, contact 07801 104506.
