A pensioner had his car stolen by men armed with an axe in Bolton.
On Friday morning, the 66-year-old victim reversed his car out of his garage on Ladybridge Road to park it on the drive and noticed two men standing nearby on some grassland.
The victim went back into the garage and when he came out again, three men were standing on his drive.
They demanded his car keys, pulled out a yellow axe and swung it towards him.
One of the men snatched the keys out of the victim's hand, they all got into his Toyota Auris registered MK 07 NUB and drove off towards Armadale Road.
The first offender is described as an Asian man aged 18 to 25, about 6ft tall and of a medium to large build. He was dressed in black and had a Bolton accent.
The second man is described as an Asian aged 18 to 25, about 5ft 7in tall and was of a slim to medium build. He was also dressed entirely in black, had a local accent and was carrying an axe.
The third robber is described as an Asian man and was dressed in black.
All three had their faces partially covered.
Detective Constable Stephen Riddle, from Astley Bridge Police Station, said: "The victim was not injured but has been left badly shaken by what happened.
"I would like to reassure residents that we have extra patrols working in the area to ensure these men are caught and that nobody else falls victim to them.
"I urge anyone who knows something, no matter how insignificant they think it might be, to please contact me."
