IF you’re looking to update your wardrobe on a budget — in times of recession it’s hard to justify buying another pair of shoes — then you don’t have to look too far as more and more stores are catering to the demand for disposable fashion.
You can’t fail to have noticed the expansion of Primark in Crompton Place so that should be your first port of call.
The store is rocking the neon brights look with this quilted bag at £6. It’s perfect for gigs, with a clasp to keep your bag shut tightly. Or you could jazz up your little black dress on a Saturday night. It’s ever so Chanel (we wish).
If ever there was a time to heart someone, then this dress from George at Asda would be the one to do it in. Very cute with shapes spotted around the skirt, a fitted top and bang on-trend colour clashing with burnt orange straps. We heart the puffball element to the dress and we heart the price tag — at £18 you really must not grumble. If you’re not feeling adventurous then wear a black shrug until you dare to bare the straps or go all out in colour clashing earrings, clutch bag and shoes — neon blues and pinks will do.
If you would like something slightly more one-off then go for this one shoulder dress from Matalan. High end fashion — with intricate pattern on the hem of the skirt and an uber modern layered frill around the neckline, this is sure to be mistaken for designer.
Coming in at £22 it’s not going to leave you bankrupt and would be perfect for any number of occasions. Keep the accessories simple though to avoid over doing it.
If you’re lucky enough to be going on your holidays this year then you’ll need some sort of swim wear. This bikini is super sexy and what’s more, coming from Florence and Fred at Tesco, it’s cheerfully cheap.
The top comes in at £6 and the brief comes in at £4. The set for just a tenner. Just be careful of the straps if you are heading out in the sun, tan lines are a no-no.
Last but not least is this bangle from Sainsbury’s. At £4 it’s an easy way to add a splash of colour to any outfit. And with an African vibe to the design, you can stare down and imagine you’re in a sunnier clime.
