BOLTON Wanderers players took time out from their busy schedules to dish out Easter treats to youngsters at the Royal Bolton Hospital.

Jussi Jaaskelainen, Ricardo Gardner, Andy O’Brien, Matt Taylor and Johan Elmander chatted to the young patients yesterday and signed autographs for them and their parents.

One lucky youngster who got the chance to meet his heroes was Joshua Killoran, aged eight, who broke his leg while trying to get a football off the roof of a garage.

Ella Farrimond, also aged eight, and whose father is an avid Wanderers fan, Anastasia Curtis, aged five, and Leo Swinton, aged four, were also given chocolate goodies by the squad.

Matt Taylor said: “It is important for us to give something back to our community and help to put smiles on the kids’ faces by spending a bit of time with them and their families."
