A BURGLAR who ransacked one of his victim’s homes before feasting on their food in the kitchen, has been jailed.
Paul Tillot, a prolific thief, was caught because he was so well-known to police.
He appeared at Bolton Crown Court yesterday, where a judge sentenced him to three years in jail. He had previously pleaded guilty to burglary.
Following the case, Det Con Michael Kennedy, said: “I am pleased that a persistent offender like Tillot has been held accountable for his actions.
“He is a prolific burglar who cannot resist breaking into people’s homes and has justly been taken off the streets.”
The court heard that Tillot, aged 38, of Woodvale Grove, Morris Green, struck at the house in Landore Close, Radcliffe, at around 2am on September 7 last year.
Inside Tillot stole cash and a camera belonging to his 58-year-old victim, and also ate food from the kitchen before leaving. Officers identified Tillot from previous offences and he was subsequently charged with burglary.
