LOSTOCK romped to victory beside the seaside after blowing off some early cobwebs.
The visitors totally dominated in the scrums with Karl Vones, Alan Wordley and Gareth Evans putting pressure on the Blackpool front row.
Man-of-the-match Chad Boyce opened the scoring after 15 minutes with a well finished try to the left of the posts, but the conversion was missed.
Captain John Stryker added a second try shortly after to make it 10-0.
In the second half, things changed as an injury to a Blackpool prop and no replacement meant un-contested scrums.
This unsettled Lostock as their dominance in the set-plays had provided a solid attacking base, and without this they had to change the way they played.
Lee Worgan then ran in a superb try, which he duly converted.
Blackpool scored only their fourth try this season as a lapse of concentration and poor tackling allowed the number eight in.
Five minutes from the end, Geoff Earle powered over from 10 yards out to seal the comfortable win for Lostock.
Lostock play Bolton’s fourth team at Avenue Street on Saturday, looking to avenge defeat in the reverse fixture.
