These local amateur actors dressed in constume are pictured in rehearsal for a production of the operetta Gypsy Love.
The cast are from the Farnworth and District Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society, were performing the work of Franck Lehar.
The score of the clever comedy was full of tuneful waltzes and stirring marches with vibrant gypsy music.
The Farnworth show opened on May 20, 1972, and ran for a week at St James’s County Secondary School, Highfield Road, Farnworth.
