LEIGH’S hopes of a victory to avoid falling into the relegation battle were scuppered after a poor first-half display cost them victory against basement club Witton Albion.
Genesis were playing their first league game for six weeks and it showed as they struggled for rhythm and co-ordination.
Paul Warner put the visitors ahead in the 18th minute before Neil Black doubled their lead in the 34th minute.
