YOUNG people from Bolton will be recognised for their contribution to the community next week.
The second part of Bolton Council’s annual Youth Awards for four to 19-year-olds will take place at Castle Hill Youth Centre, Tonge Moor on Tuesday.
Children and teenagers who have participated in activities in the area will receive awards, including those who have taken part in sporting events, done arts and crafts and there will be recognition for academic achievements.
The awards ceremony will include entertainment, food and the 200 guests will enter on a red carpet.
The winners will receive certificates and make snow angels as a celebration, with the Mayor of Bolton, Cllr Anthony Connell, being there to congratulate them.
Cllr Ebrahim Adia, the council’s executive member for children’s services, said: “It is important we recognise that the town’s young people are the lifeblood of its success and character and that young people realise how highly they are valued.”
