AROUND 800 homes in Kearsley are at risk of future flooding, experts are warning.
Properties in Crompton Road, Alexandra Road, Church Road, Bridge Street, Riverside Drive, Market Street, Kearsley Hall Road, Red Rock Lane and Clifton House Road could be affected if the River Irwell ever burst its banks.
The Environment Agency is urging people to sign up to a new direct flood warning service which sends an advanced warning via text, email, pager or fax.
