THE owner of a dog which went missing while on a walk has made a plea for help in finding it.
Jeanette Townsend is worried for the safety of Gemma, a border collie cross, because the dog has kidney failure and needs regular medication. She was walking in Rivington near to the castle when the dog disappeared on December 1.
Despite spending hours searching for the dog, Mrs Townsend and her husband, Robert, have not found it.
Mrs Townsend, aged 58, from Horwich, said: “She has black and tan coat with white paws and due to her age has greatly impaired hearing and eyesight.”
