A PUB’S plans for a giant umbrella and smoking shelter to protect customers from the weather will go before Bolton Council’s planning committee again this week.
The application by Southfields pub in Green Lane, Great Lever, was deferred at a planning meeting two weeks ago to allow councillors to visit the site in person.
Councillors wanted to see how close the so-called “jumbrella” was to the home of a man who had objected to the plans.
