A DRIVER was in hospital last night with serious leg injuries after being pinned against a van by a car.
Alfred Lowe, aged 58, from Westhoughton, was unloading a van on a trading estate in Hindley when the accident happened at 11.45am on Wednesday.
Police say Mr Lowe, who works for Lostock-based Greenhalgh’s Bakers, suffered serious legs injuries.
He was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester where it is understood that he had one leg amputated.
