AN old mill in Halliwell is the latest addition to the booming car boot market scene in Bolton.
Les Turner and his son Paul have opened up several rooms in the old Tennyson Street cotton mill for an indoor car boot market.
The mill is already home to several small businesses and Mr Turner has taken several rooms and created a small cafe too.
Despite the rise of eBay and Amazon and other online sites, car boot sales are thriving.
Mr Turner said: “We have tried several business ideas here. The car boot sales have running for around four weeks. With the bad weather, it’s great for the stall holders to be indoors.
“We have around 50 stalls and are looking to expand to 100.”
The markets are held every Sunday, from 6am to 2pm, and cost £10 per stall. Sellers can set up their stalls on Saturdays between 10am and 2pm.
