THE future is looking a bit brighter for troubled Woolworths group, which employs more than 50 staff in its Bolton and Farnworth stores, according to Deloitte.
The administrators said they had received a lot of interest in the business and its high street stores.
Neville Kahn, of Deloitte, said: “We have received substantial expressions of interest in both Woolworths Plc and Entertainment UK Ltd (EUK).
“We continue to hold discussions with a number of parties interested in buying Woolworths and EUK as going concerns, including with a number of new parties. We expect talks to continue into next week.
“We have received a substantial number of bids from parties interested in the properties.
“We are working as quickly as possible to assess proposals. We continue to work hard to preserve jobs.
“We are extremely grateful to the staff and management for their co-operation at this difficult time.”
Woolworths and Entertainment UK were placed into administration on November 27.”
