BOLTON Under-15s bid to make progress in the Greater Manchester Schools’ League when they travel to take on local rivals Bury at the Derby High School on Saturday, kick off 10.30am.
The Bolton lads have had mixed fortunes in the league to date with a couple of defeats against Salford and Stockport and three wins against Manchester, Macclesfield and Trafford from their five outings.
Bury Under-15s have also struggled to maintain their form with draws against Oldham and Salford, victory against Wigan and a narrow defeat against reigning champions Manchester so far. Bolton Under-14s are also in Greater Manchester Schools’ League action this weekend when they travel to take on Wigan on Saturday (10.30am).
The U14s ran out convincing 5-1 winners against Salford in their opening league match before narrowly going down 2-1 to Bury in their other league game to date on November 8.
Team manager Kieron Walsh will be hoping his side can bounce back from that disappointment and make a quick return to winning ways against Wigan this weekend.
