A SHOCKING anti drink-drive campaign is coming to Bolton later this month.
Shoppers in Victoria Square will receive a frightening wake-up call when they are confronted with the sight of a crashed car surrounded by blood-soaked actors.
The campaign is being organised by Greater Manchester’s road safety partnership, Drivesafe, and will visit Bolton on Thursday, December 18.
The Drivesafe team will accompany the actors, targeting shoppers and challenging them to pour what they believe to be one unit of alcohol.
Communications officer, Karen Delaney said: “We wanted to go for something really hard-hitting this year to hammer home the message that drinking and driving just isn’t worth the risk. During the festive season, people tend to take uncharacteristic risks with drink that can have life-changing consequences.
“Drivers should be especially wary of driving the day after the office party or a heavy night on the town.”
