GREAT-great-granddad Harold Howarth, aged 84, was “over the moon” when the latest addition to his family arrived.
Five generations of the Howarth family posed for a picture, following the arrival of baby Corey Keegan Howarth Burns.
Corey, now three weeks old, weighed 7lb 15oz when he was born at the Royal Bolton Hospital to Aaron Howarth and Kyrah Burns, both aged 16.
Corey’s great grandmother, Carol Howarth, said the whole family was delighted to have made it to five generations.
She said: “Harold is over the moon because he’s a great-great-grandfather and he just wants to shout it to the whole world. He was thrilled to hear the news and he’s so happy to have Corey in the family.”
Harold lives in Recreation Street, Bradshaw, while his son, also called Harold, aged 61, lives in Bamber Walk, Deane, with Carol.
Their daughter, Debbie Howarth, aged 37, lives in Farm Bank South, Deane, and Aaron lives in Bamber Walk with his grandparents.
Carol said: “We know Aaron and Kyrah are young but they’ve got a lot of support and we’ll look after them.”
