CYCLING: Twelve schools took part in the annual Cooperative Bolton Primary Schools Cycling Championships at the Manchester Velodrome.
St Saviours Ringley won in their first year in the competition, which is organised by Withins School, with a total of 338.101 points.
Second was Hardy Mill with 342.817 points and Walmsley CE were third with 347.886 points.
The individual winners were: boys one-lap (250 metres) standing start time trial – Matthew Foxwell (Tonge Moor); girls’ one-1ap (250 metres) standing start time trial – Alicia Jackson (St Saviours Ringley); boys two-lap (500 metres) standing start time trial – Liam Kenny (St Saviours Ringley); girls two-lap (500 metres) standing start time trial – Alicia Jackson (St Saviours Ringley).
