ATHLETICS: Horwich Harriers is mourning the death of Jimmy Niblett who has been a member of the club since 1979.
He died after battling prostate cancer in recent years.
A former miner and Royal Marine, he was also a member of Bolton Wrestling Club.
He was Northern and Lancashire welterweight wrestling champion and also won the North-west Olympics wrestling trials.
He was denied a chance to challenge for a place in the Great Britain wrestling team through injury.
He became a professional wrestler and toured Sweden, Finland, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia under the name of Killer James.
