BOLTON’S famous historic houses are bursting with seasonal delights.
From now until January 4, Smithills Hall will be decorated in traditional mediaeval, Tudor and Victorian Christmas decorations thanks to the Friends of Smithills Hall.
At Hall i’ th’ Wood Museum on Sunday, December 14, from noon to 3pm, families can make Christmas decorations and hear Christmas stories.
Entry to the museum is free for children.
And at Bolton Central Library, between December 10 and January 4, there will be a special display featuring a collection of Victorian Christmas cards and other festive objects.
