All of the celebrities broke down in tears after receiving letters from home.

The 'I'm A Celebrity. Get Me Out Of Here!' contestants were stunned to be given the personal notes and all became overwhelmed by the sentiments of the notes.

First to cry was Brian Paddick when David Van Day read out his letter from partner Petter - after the former Dollar singer first caused anger by insisting on reading it out with a Norwegian accent.

Nicola McLean and Martina Navratilova then got emotional as the glamour model read out a note from the tennis star's friend Barbara, before Martina read George Takei's letter from husband Brad.

The note said: "I do not know when you will emerge from the jungle but I do know I will be waiting to embrace you in my arms. Until that glorious moment keep your spirits up by singing your new favourite song."

George managed to lighten the mood by breaking into a rendition of 'Olly, Olly, Olly'.

Simon Webbe was shocked by the contents of his letter from girlfriend Layla, which revealed she has flown out to Australia, causing his camp mates to joke that he can't try to escape the jungle for a reunion with her.

A weeping Joe was delighted when George read out a letter from his mum Kiffy, hugging the man he has likened to his granddad.

As soon as Simon started reading Nicola's letter from fiance Tommy she broke down in tears and the overwhelmed singer could only read a few words before he too cried and had to hand it to Brian to finish.

Finally, Joe read David's letter from his two daughters, Amber and Olivia, which caused the singer to sob.
