A TEN year plan has been created to improve health in Bury.
A number of partners have joined forces on the action plan, which covers cancer, heart disease, smoking, alcohol, obesity and sexual health.
It aims to reduce health inequalities and promote health in every community.
Plans include issuing lifestyle advice, running screening programmes, developing early treatment and rehabilitation services for stroke sufferers, speeding up diagnosis and treatment of cancer, increasing awareness of symptoms of cancer, raising awareness of the dangers of binge drinking, increasing sports activities, sexual health campaigns and supporting people to stop smoking.
