A mother of two has been jailed for three years after she strangled her husband with a scarf as he slept.
Emona Dauti, aged 27, of Bury Old Road, Prestwich, was charged with the murder of Ellez Dauti, but pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the grounds of provocation.
Ellez Dauti, aged 33, was found dead at the ground floor flat he shared with Emona Dauti in Bury Old Road in January.
Manchester Crown Court heard that Dauti called police that morning and said she had strangled her husband with a scarf after they argued and he threatened her and assaulted her.
