A MAN accused of raping an 85-year-old woman is fit to enter a plea, Bolton Crown Court heard.
Damion Laing, aged 22, of Johnson Fold Avenue, Johnson Fold, has been charged with rape, robbery, grievous bodily harm and trespassing with intent to commit a sexual offence in connection with an attack on the woman in her Smithills home on June 19.
The case was adjourned last month for psychiatric tests. Laing will now return to the Crown Court on Thursday.
He remains in custody.
