NICOLAS Anelka might well have left the Reebok for Chelsea on good terms last January but it appears relations have been soured by a contract dispute.
Wanderers have served papers at the High Court against the France international and a company called Kalivions Commercials Ltd, claiming they are owed a substantial sum of money relating to image rights and alleging breach of contract.
Wanderers have declined to comment on reports that they are pursuing a case against the 29-year-old striker, who arrived at the Reebok in August 2006 in an £8million transfer from Turkish club Fenerbahce and scored 23 goals in 61 appearances before joining Chelsea 16 months later for a record £15m.
He had a frustrating time at Stamford Bridge last season, when he struggled to hold down a regular place, but has made the most of Didier Drogba’s absence through injury this term and currently tops the Premiership goal charts with 12.
