PLANS to build two large houses on a busy road have been put on hold amid fears that residents would be tempted to reverse out into traffic.
A neighbour of the site in Darwen Road, Bromley Cross, told Bolton Council’s planning committee that there was no room for a turning circle because the two six-bedroom houses took up so much space.
He said the occupants would be forced to reverse out into the road, putting themselves and other motorists at risk.
Councillors voted to defer their decision until they had visited the site to see the potential problem themselves.
