IT is the final week of our credit-crunch-busting recipe series and celebrity chef, Paul Heathcote, is back with his cheapest dish to date.

Today the Farnworth-born restaurant chain owner is cooking up a boiled ham, poached eggs and parsley sauce meal which will feed a hungry family of four for less than £1.50 each.

He said: “I have chosen a simple dish that is filling, quick to prepare and really tasty. It also includes fresh vegetables, so is a healthy meal, which is low in fat.”

Paul, who owns a portfolio of restaurants which includes the Olive Press in Nelson Square, Bolton, agreed to devise four recipes for The Bolton NewsBeat The Crunch campaign to help families eat restaurant-quality food without paying the price tag. He has also put together money saving offers for his Bolton eaterie — this week’s gives diners 20 per cent of their food bill in January and February.

The Bolton NewsBeat The Crunch campaign was launched at the beginning of November with the aim of saving the people of Bolton cash on their everyday bills. The campaign ends tomorrow with the final column from money saving expert, Martin Lewis, who has been offering tips to save cash.

We will also be printing the coupon needed by all readers who have been taking part in our token collect competition. Everybody who has collected 20 of the 25 tokens printed over the last month should attach them to the coupon and buy a copy of tomorrow’s paper where full details will be printed on what to do next. There will also be two bonus coupons for readers who have missed out over the last month.
